Selina Juul is a Founder of Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark (Stop Spild Af Mad), which is Denmark’s largest non-profit award-winning organization against food waste. Since 2008, Stop Wasting Food has massively contributed to bring food waste on Denmark’s agenda and achieved a large number of results in Denmark, in collaboration with EU and UN. Stop Wasting Food has started the fight against food waste in Denmark and brought Denmark’s fight against food waste on the world map. Since 2008, Stop Wasting Food has generated over 7,000 Danish and international media coverages, Stop Wasting Food has support of over 60,000 people, a number of leading top politicians, MP’s and MEP’s as well as Denmark’s former Prime Minister and acknowledged food personalities. Stop Wasting Food collaborates with many Danish and international stakeholders in the entire food value chain. Recently, Stop Wasting Food movement Denmark was featured in an international BBC documentary and the video got over 26 million views. Selina Juul is a co-developer of the global Food Loss & Waste Protocol, a Member of European Commission’s EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste as well as Partner in the United Nations’ global SAVE FOOD initiative and Partner in the FAO/UNEP campaign Think.Eat.Save.

Selina Juul is also a Member of Champions 12.3 – an exclusive global coalition of executives from governments, businesses, international organizations, research institutions, farmer groups, and civil society dedicated to inspiring ambition, mobilizing action, and accelerating progress toward achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal 12.3. Among the Champions 12.3 is Executive Director of the United Nations Environment (UNEP) Erik Solheim, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis, Chairman of Nestlé Paul Bulcke, Managing Director of The Consumer Goods Forum Peter Freedman and CEO of Unilever Paul Polman.
For her work against food waste Selina Juul received The Womenomics Influencer Award 2016, was included in the Who’s Who of Denmark, received the Dane of the Year 2014 title, won Nordic Council Nature and Environment Prize 2013, received the Svend Auken Prize 2013, received ALT for damerne magazine’s Women Prize 2013, received Cross of Merit Pro Utilitate Hominum and won JCI Denmark’s The Outstanding Young Person award 2011
